Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines president, Archbishop Angel Lagdameo, has said the Church must support Christians in partisan politics, “for the good of the country.”
Citing Church documents, Lagdameo, Archbishop of Jaro, said, “The mission of the Church, of both clergy and laity, includes also the temporal order, including politics.”

Meeting ahead of August’s FABC General Assembly, a group of Asian theologians and lay leaders have sent a message saying the Eucharist, the core of Catholicism, should be a bridge connecting faith in God with everyday life.
