Soccer superstar David Beckham has added a black and white image of Jesus Christ to his collection of 17 tattoos as a tribute to his grandfather, who recently died.
The new image, drawn on Beckham’s lower right abdomen, is based on a painting called ‘The Man Of Sorrows’ by Catholic artist Matthew Brooks, according to a Daily Mail report published in The Hindu.
Beckham, 34, revealed his latest piece of body art at the weekend when he removed his shirt in triumph following his AC Milan team’s 3-0 victory over Juventus.
Other body art he sports include an angel with the text ‘In the face of adversity’, a crucifix on the back of his neck just above a guardian angel, and his son’s names.
