East Timor Action Network thumbnail

This is the site of a U.S.-based grassroots organisation working in with the peoples of East Timor and Indonesia in promoting rights and growth in the fledgling nation.

It was initially set up to pressure the U.S. government against  supporting Indonesia’s miliary hold over East Timor. The site says ETAN educates, organises, and advocates for human rights, women’s rights, societal and economic justice, democracy and genuine self-determination in East Timor.
